If you’re looking for a place where your judgment matters, your work has real impact, and you’re trusted with responsibility, you’re in the right place.
Joining Patchett Design Group is not about filling a role. It’s about becoming part of a civil engineering firm built for engineers who value ownership, accountability, and sound decision-making. We believe great projects are delivered by people who think critically, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for the decisions they help shape.
At PDG, we work on commercial land development and residential master planning projects where early civil engineering decisions directly affect permitting outcomes, project schedules, construction risk, and overall project viability. This is not a plan-production environment. Our engineers are involved in real problems, real constraints, and real tradeoffs from the start.
We look for professionals who want more than task-based work. You’ll be expected to think ahead, speak up when something doesn’t make sense, and help identify risk early, before it becomes expensive or disruptive. In return, you’ll be trusted with responsibility, supported by experienced teammates, and given opportunities to develop judgment, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Our culture is built on high standards and low ego. We work hard, communicate directly, and hold ourselves accountable because the quality of our decisions directly affects our clients, their schedules, and their capital. We value professionalism, respect, and long-term career sustainability.
Choosing PDG means joining a team that takes pride in making the civil process predictable both for our clients and for each other. You won’t be shielded from responsibility here, but you won’t be left on your own either. Good judgment is expected, developed, and supported over time.
If you want to build a career focused on meaningful work, strong relationships, and real ownership in the civil engineering process, we’d like to hear from you.
As part of our hiring process, we invite applicants to complete a short workstyle assessment. It helps us understand how you prefer to work and collaborate. There are no right or wrong answers, and your responses are are not used to determine if you will be hired.
